Our goal is to understand the unique requirements of our visitors and curate a personalized experience. We offer a range of programs such as Digital Detox, Family Camps, Personalized Retreats, and Small Group Programs, aiming to facilitate personal healing through various activities like nature walks, yoga, meditation, moments of silence, creative arts, waterfall visits, hiking, pottery, painting, dance, herbal medicine crafting, and creating flower essences, among others. The possibilities are endless!
Roots Awakening embodies the characteristics of a forward-thinking 501(c)(3) organization. It envisions a scenario where individuals prioritize their physical well-being, engage with their community, and commit to preserving the Earth and its inhabitants. This vision aims to cultivate a sustainable and harmonious network founded on principles of mutual respect. support and Love.

For many years, decades actually, I have dreamed of creating a place where people can come, children of all ages (wink) to reconnect with the spirit of nature. I have been dreaming into being this magickal place in the forest where a myriad of beings can come to explore the healing properties of nature, to remember how to dream and to heal from the societal wounds that surround them by immersing themselves in a tech free moment where the wind whispers his secrets and the flowers tempt you with their fragrance while the waters cleanse your body and the earth caresses your soul. I have been dreaming of a place where families can come to learn to communicate and cooperate, to listen and to share. Where individuals and small groups can come to breathe in the mountain air and learn of alternative ways of being in relationship with the earth and expand into unlimited potential. My intention is to create a sanctuary for those who should stumble upon her, a portal of sorts, to reconnect with their soul.
We are blessed to inhabit this world, and for such a short time. It is my deepest wish that all be free of suffering. My goal is to create an opportunity for each person to connect with source, with love. Having this direct experience, there is a reference point from which to restart/return. Until one day, it becomes their place of being.

From a young age, Marlo Belkin, also known as Maya Rose in spiritual circles, has sensed a profound purpose guiding her journey on this planet. Nurtured by her wonderful parents and a compassionate sister, her upbringing fostered a spirit of curiosity. Her inquisitive nature was complemented by the wisdom of her grandparents, who instilled in her a passion for exploration and service to humanity. Through diverse worldly escapades and selfless contributions to her community, Marlo's life has been enriched.
Years of dedicated spiritual practice and global exploration consistently brought Maya Rose back to the essence of the heart. She holds credentials from a range of institutions that span from conventional teachings to esoteric knowledge. Whether immersing herself in profound teachings from Indian sages, partaking in ancient traditions with Indigenous elders in Mexico, receiving ancestral rites in Peruvian healing traditions, or engaging in sacred ceremonies with medicinal plants of the Americas, the message remained steadfast: Embrace the Path of the Heart.
While residing amidst the ancient redwoods of Northern California, Maya gleaned wisdom from venerable elders regarding the healing properties of plants and flowers. Over the past 15 years, Maya has traversed the globe, absorbing life lessons, confronting personal shadows, and finding beauty in every experience. Grateful for these insights, she now shares her profound learnings with others through intimate group work and individual sessions, embodying humility, awareness, and gratitude.
Maya Rose is a certified Herbalist, Aromatherapist, and Flower Essence Practitioner. She also serves as an Infinite Possibilities Coach and Trainer, holding a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Presently, Maya has made her home in the mountains of Boone, North Carolina, where she resides off-grid alongside her beloved canine companion, Nahla Taki. During her leisure moments, she savors tending to her garden, reading, engaging in creative pursuits, wandering through the forest, and cherishing peaceful encounters with nature.
Just as an ancient tree with deep roots has myriad stories to share for those willing to listen, Maya Rose's journey is a testament to the wisdom gained from a life in harmony with the natural world.
